Site Leader – Nga Roto Tapokapoka
Te Hiku Iwi Development Trust have secured funding and will govern a two-year practical dune lakes/wetlands restoration project involving Lakes Waimahuru; Bullrush and Whakairingatoto (Te Aupouri), and Lakes Waiparera, Rotoroa and Split (NgaTakoto). A Site Leader will be appointed for each Iwi to implement the programme of restoration and manage and lead the work of the local kaimahi teams.
Purpose of the position
The Site Leader will provide leadership and supervision of a team of kaimahi working on Nga Roto Tapokapoka, a Te Hiku o Te Ika dune lakes/wetlands restoration, enhancement and protection project 2016-2018. The Site Leader will be responsible for organizing the day to day work of the kaimahi team, so weekly planning and the provision of regular and articulate Reports are critical to this role
Reports: Weekly to Iwi Project Manager; Monthly to Project Coordinator.
Term: 32 hours per week, until August 2018
