Funding

He Tangata

He Tangata funding is focussed on supporting individual registered iwi members who:

  1. have enrolled into, or are currently studying towards, a charge-incurring tertiary qualification at any tertiary-recognised New Zealand institute.


  2. Is participating individually in a sporting activity as either a regional, national or international representative.


  3. Is participating in a cultural endeavour as either a regional, national or international representative.


Round One opens 01 January, closes 28 February (2 month), decision by 31 March.

Round Two opens 01 June, closes 31 July (2 month), decision by 31 August.

Applicants can only receive He Tangata Funding once per year.

The Toa Takatini funding initiative is targeted towards registered iwi member collectives needing fiscal aid for their organization's pursuits. Round One commences 01 February and concludes 31 March (2 month duration) with outcomes by 30 April. Round Two commences 01 July and concludes 31 August (2 month duration) with outcomes by 30 September. A group requestor is entitled to one disbursement of Toa Takatini Funds annually.

Kaupapa Aronui

This fund is to support groups of registered members in targeted projects.

An authorised individual of the group must register their group and Kaupapa.


Applicant must be a registered Te Aupouri iwi member.


Open throughout the year.
